African drumming workshops are guaranteed to turn your group into a powerhouse musical ensemble in under an hour!
African drumming workshops are perfect for Early learning centres and playgroups, Schools, School holiday programs, Corporate and team building days, Universities, Aged care, Juvenile justice programs and many more. Our workshops give particpants the opportunity to play their own African djembe drum and learn about West African culture through rhythm, song, dance and story telling. Our workshops are fun, educational, easy to do and provide many positive benefits and outcomes for the individual and group as whole. You can read more about the benefits of group drumming here.
Drumming workshop or drum circle?
African drumming workshops are different to drum circles. Drumming workshops are more structured, in depth and have an educational component to them. They include demonstration of various instruments and their use in traditional African music, stories about West African culture, traditions and rituals and can be tailored for specific groups for maximum impact and learning.
If you would like to find out if we can provide a workshop for your group please contact us here. If you are unsure about whether a drumming workshop or drum circle is best suited to your event please get in touch, we will be happy to make recommendations.
We also provide African dance workshops on their own without drumming which are very popular with schools and school holiday programs. Again you can contact us here to find out more about our solo dance workshops.
